expedia directed us to the president hotel due to a supposed road closure. we had to haul our suitcases quite a distance. i discovered the street to the hotel was open (a significant oversight by expedia). the included breakfast and welcome cocktail elevated the experience. two free bottles of water were a plus.
the wi-fi signal was weak (i used my mobile data instead).

the staff arranged tours and scooter rentals. they provided beach towels for our convenience. ruby at check-in was particularly helpful and all staff were always smiling (a nice touch).

the hotel enjoys a prime location directly on ocean drive. it's also a very short walk to the beach. the hotel is approximately 25 minutes from the airport (very convenient for travel).

I appreciated how close the beach access was (it's literally across the street!). the ocean view from my room was a plus. i also liked that the front desk staff was really courteous. They were helpful with valet pickup when i got there.
walking to the pool involved going through an alley to a sister hotel. the pool closing time was also quite early.
